The power of the Kundalini

Millions of years ago.
The earth is in dire peril. The evil Asura (demon) Mahishasura has been asserting his power as the lord of all demons for several millennia now. The gods are beleaguered and they have lost energy to fight, when, one day, one of them has a brilliant idea, instigated by none other than the Mahadev, the god of all gods, and the Neelkanth: Lord Shiva; why not combine all our powers into one being or goddess?
And so, with the power gathered over several millennia, the gods close their eyes and begin chanting mantras, creating an intensely pious and pure aura, and they then begin to transfer their respective powers to the goddess they intend to create (while retaining the same powers).
And when this procedure is complete, the goddess they ultimately see before themselves both stun them as well as awe them, for she is a fierce looking goddess, with ten arms, each holding or containing the respective weapons of the gods (that is, a trident, a snake, the book of holy wisdom, the shield, the twin bladed axe, and so on), that is, an entire arsenal of weapons, which when collectively and properly by their owner or owners, can bring terrifying destruction upon those the owner chooses to wield them.
But the goddess somehow looks or feels incomplete and thus, she is presented with her divine vehicle, a lion.

Finally seated, she advances to the battlefield where the barbaric and yet disciplined Asura hordes wait for any further gods, who might still foolishly entertain the idea of vanquishing them.
She surveys the entire battlefield from a hillock, seated on her lion. The Asura hordes are raucous, having just vanquished a large legion of the Divine forces. However, suddenly, with a shout, one f them alerts everyone to the presence of the goddess. A sudden deathly silence befalls the entire army, as they grasp or imbibe the implications of this new development.
And almost equally suddenly, they burst into laughter, loudly jeering the goddess as well as the decisions and the tactical awareness as well as the intellect of her senders and creators. They begin to make disparaging comments about her.  She seems not to hear any of them, even when, in reality, she can hear and comprehend everything.
And then, her next actions stun the army again, leaving most of them gaping on in disbelief.
She jumps from the lion, takes two short half walking and half running steps and jumps from the hillock, descending a perilous and dizzying height of almost five hundred feet and lands smoothly on the ground, directly in front of the Asura army.
A few moments of quietness follow before an Asura soldier comes out from his line and challenges her to a one-on-one duel. The entire Asura army titters upon hearing this. She simply smiles and readies herself. And then, with almost blinding and inhuman speed, she neatly pirouettes and severs the head of the Asura soldier with such a force that the head flies off like an arrow and lands at the feet of Mahishasura himself.
Enraged, shocked and humiliated by the speed and swiftness as well as the manner of his death, the entire army now surges forward, and charges.
What follows is absolute carnage, as the entire army is ripped to shreds while its leader and king, who had been asserting his authority for so long, can only stare in horror as he sees her fight. However, he does not realize that in the due course of watching her fight, he has fallen in love with her.
At last, when only silence pervades the entire battlefield, she holds her sword at the neck of the Asura lord and asks him to surrender. He accepts, but lays down a condition of his own before her: if only he agrees to marry him, only then will he willingly surrender to her and get or receive the justice he deserves at the hands of the gods.
Upon hearing so indecent a proposal, she becomes angry and rejects the offer. When he his spurned, he loses his mind and then threatens to kill her, for he does not intend to let anyone else win her hand.
And what follows, my dear friends, is now known to all of us Indians as Durga Puja, the ten-day battle which ensued between Mahishasura and Goddess Durga (yes, that was the name of the goddess, who in reality had already been married to the Mahadev and she had personally volunteered to help the gods then, after which they performed the power transfer).
And thus, because of her brave, courageous as well as worth-respecting deeds, she became and was known as the very epitome of the female persona, for she represented (and still represents) the ultimate female: proud, strong, intelligent, tactically aware, courageous, wise, just and dangerous when thwarted, with an anger to match.
She also displayed the softer side of females, such as giving birth (Lord Ganesh and Lord Kartik), tenderness and affection (familial as well as otherwise) etc.
Now, all of you might be wondering that in a society or a civilization of people where she is respected, worshipped as well as feared, females too would be respected feared and cherished, right??
Aha! That’s precisely where you all are wrong, for despite the broadening of mindsets and the recent awareness about the equality of women when compared with men (where from did this heinous and disgusting idea of comparing a woman with a man or vice versa, originate from, I ask  you, there are still some very loathsome, disgusting and repulsive people who exist in our society who treat women or consider women to be mewling, scared and vulnerable cats, who can be kicked and whose necks can be wrung as they see fit.
Yes, yes, I am talking about those chauvinist pro-male people out there, who make it their personal mission to bring down females in every possible way and manner possible, and it’s not as if females have it easy apart from these chauvinist hounds, what with the amount of staring and eve teasing they anyway go through and also the rather impractical, petty and hypocritical demands of society which states that girls and women (females, that is) have to look and behave a certain way to be deemed acceptable; I mean, just imagine if a tiger was told to alter its skin to look like a mixture of a cheetah and a leopard as well as its own (a tiger that is), how do you think it would look? Also, just imagine a cat that was told to jump from tree to tree or from branch to branch with the help of its tail? Quite funny and ridiculous as well, don’t you think?
And that is exactly where the nonsensical part arises, my dear lads and lasses. For a girl or a female is often told, if you don’t resemble Scarlett O’ Hara or say, Gwyneth Paltrow, or even say Julia Roberts, you should not even show your face or at worst, you won’t be considered for marriage. Sheer imbecility, don’t you think?
And the biggest and the most obvious bit of imbecility where the chauvinists are concerned?? They say that a girl is only fit to service a man’s needs, be it as a prostitute, be it as a housewife, or be it as any other representative of the menial classes. Instead of imagining them as singers, dancers, cricketers etc, they are imagined to be the above things.
And if you think that chauvinism is limited or restricted to only the adults, well, you’re wrong, for even kids believe that nowadays. Don’t believe me?? Well, I’ll share a personal experience then. Today, while I was out for a swim in my local pool, I heard a kid (about say 12-14 years old) (I am calling him a kid because of his views, since age really isn’t a meter or a gauge for maturity or a balanced perception) disparagingly say that the reason why the Indian women’s cricket team does not play Test matches is because they don’t have the capability or the requires endurance etc to play. I was so angered by this remark when I heard it that I decided to confront him but then stopped myself since I realized the futility of my situation. What he later went on to say I didn’t catch because I had already heard enough.
I then thought to myself, how can a girl or a woman be weak?? If a girl or a woman is weak, then how it is they are the very ones who give birth to life itself???
Come on, answer me, how are women or girls supposed to be weak if they give birth to us?? Be it the male chauvinists, be it the people who are in support of the females, or be it any other group of males or people, the basic fact remains that it is ultimately females who give birth to us!!!!!!!!!. And if they indeed give birth to us, then how can they be weak??
Whenever we men have even an ordinary stomach ache or suffer from any slight injury, the first word that comes out of our lips is “mom” or “ma” or any of the other terms we use for our mothers. And on the other hand, females bleed every month, shedding their uterine lining along with blood and give birth to us and that too without even a slight whisper or a complaint, out of their love for us and life in general.
So, I ask those chauvinists: After all this, do you still think that women are weak!!?? I shall be awaiting your answers in the comments section below.
I shall like to end this post with a well-known shloka:

Adi Shakti, Adi Shakti, Adi Shakti, Namo Namo!
Sarab Shakti, Sarab Shakti, Sarab Shakti, Namo Namo!
Prithum Bhagvati, Prithum Bhagvati, Prithum Bhagvati, Namo Namo!
Kundalini Mata Shakti, Kundalini Mata Shakti, Kundalini Mata Shakti, Namo Namo!

This literally translates to:

I bow to the primal power.
I bow to the all-encompassing power and energy.
I bow to that through which God creates.
I bow to the creative power of
the Kundalini, the Divine Mother Power.
