Where time stands still..
Hey everyone, I hope all of you have been having a great time. Today I will be talking about something, something which all of you must have heard about, and even seen in packed halls which host conferences by great or renowned psychiatrists, the topic of the conferences being the perfect method to find inner balance or something to that effect.
In a way, one can say that learning how to de-stress and remain that way, even in the situations where a high level of stress is but natural, is indeed one of the most important things we can learn and should, learn today, because a lack of pressure is what keeps our internal scales balanced as humans.
Now, I know that there is a high possibility of me being laughed out of every gathering or room, or, you know, just being laughed at, but honestly, if I told you that there is a very natural way with the help of which de-stressing can naturally be done, would you believe me?
Yeah, I can sort of imagine all of you rolling your eyes, and nodding your heads in a cynical fashion, but I can assure you, such a way does exist and trust me, most of you will be fairly astounded (unless you actually used to do that sort of thing before but now don’t get the time for it).
For those of you who are still trying to guess and therefore don’t have the slightest inkling, well, read on below to find out.
Mother Nature. There you go. Now, I know it is very anticlimactic to have so simple an answer when I have been creating unnecessary suspense in the above paragraph, isn’t it? No, wrong. I have not been creating unnecessary suspense, because Mother Nature is indeed the solution. And what solution am I talking about? The solution is: all one needs to do is to spend some time in the lap of Mother Nature, such as for eg, taking a lonely stroll through your local neighborhood park or heading off to the nearest woods or jungles.
For it is only in these places that you shall actually realize that time stands still, and it almost never moves, unless you choose to think so. Indeed, unlike in the cities, where you can acutely experience each and every second just passing by, because of the people who just dash by, in suits with briefcases in their hands and stress and tension writ large on their faces. In the neck of the woods, or in the midst of a jungle, however, you just feel, calm. You feel relaxed, so relaxed that you feel yourself beginning to float, and suddenly, you feel like you are in paradise.
Ah, but alas, because nobody really does stop to look and cherish these beauties, because they are too excessively attached to their concrete jungles and their rectangular strips of paper, which ironically originate from the real jungles. Funny isn’t it? I mean, we almost purposefully tend to ignore the real jungles, only to chase after the products of those very jungles.
Now, you might wonder why I am telling you all of these things when these are rather basic things, which most of you might know, right? Well, that’s exactly the point, innit? Despite this solution being one of the cheapest and most effective ways to de-stress, almost nobody uses it, because of their pursuit of the concrete jungles. So my message to all of you is to just slow down, loosen your ties and your collar buttons and just take a walk; needn’t be with anybody or a group, but just yourself and the natural sounds of the woods or the jungles around you (the peaceful and energizing silence that pervades the whole atmosphere, the occasional twitter of the birds, the gentle rustle of the trees) ah, these are sure bound to work their wonders on you.
And so, herein I take your leave, for as I watch the bird twittering at my window sill, my heart longs to travel to the places, where time stands still...
