Just Another October in 2024
![]() |
As the smell of the retreating monsoons brings with it the scent of winter,
The trees around begin to gradually shed their leaves, with each tree beginning to resemble a splinter,
But before winter can fully embrace the city with its chill fingers,
My mind starts to dwell upon the memories of this year, oh how they linger,
From the joy of securing an ascension to losing some friendships dear,
I begin to wonder, have I anything left to fear?
And yet hardly it is thus that loss does not give birth to things anew,
Treasure do I these new connections and things that I was blessed with, though they may be few,
So, as the time for the arrival of the Goddess draws near, the Universe awaits Her, with hands folded and devotion dear
And so does Her Energy wash away all negativity, and imbue the air with ceaseless prosperity and positivity.
